Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : COCHIN - MUNNAR
On arrival at the Cochin Airport meet our tour representative who will escort you to the cab to drive to Munnar - the gateway to the hills. It is one of the famous hill stations in Kerala. It was once the favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air welcomes the tourist.
On reaching Munnar check in hotel and relax for the rest of the day at the hotel.
Day 02 : MUNNAR
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour. Visit Anaimudi Peak - the highest peak in Tamil Nadu, Morning after breakfast drive to Anamudi is the highest peak in the Cardamom Hills in Peninsular India. It is best know for the endangered Nilgiri tahr (hemitragus hylocrious) although it does harbour a number of other equally interesting denizens- such as Atlas moth (the largest of its kind in the world), Nilgiri langurs, lion-tailed macaques, leopards and tigers. Also visit Nyayamakad, Echo Point, Rajamala, Kundala, Power House Waterfalls, Malankara Reservoir ,Devikulam and so on. Late in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03 : MUNNAR - THEKKADY
Morning after breakfast enjoy the drive to Thekkady (Periyar)-India's most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuary. The very sound of the name conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hill and spice scented plantations. One can experience the most enchanting holiday in the crisp, cool air of the Western Ghats. On reaching Thekkady check in hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 04 : THEKKADY
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour of Thekkady. Visit The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Kumily, Mangala Devi Temple , Vandiperiyar and so on. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05 : THEKKADY - KUMARAKOM
Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom -one of the best tourist attractions in Kerala. It is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake. The lush green vegetation and the climate attract a number of tourists to this place. On reaching Kumarakom check in the backwater resort and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 06 : KUMARAKOM
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour. Visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary, house boat jetty and others. Later in the evening return back to the hotel for an overnights stay.
Day 07 - 09 : KUMARAKOM - ALLEPPEY - THOTTAPALI - ALLEPPEY ( HOUSE BOAT)
Morning after breakfast check into the deluxe houseboat to enjoy the 48 hours of boat ride from Kumarakom to Alleppey and Thottapali and back to Alleppey. This journey is considered to be one of the best attractions. The house boat is fully furnished with single and double bedrooms, sundeck, private balcony and a kitchen. It also comprises a chef, driver & cabin assistant.
The materials that go into the making are all local and Eco friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc. The main wood used is "Anjili".
Glide along from Kumarakom through punnamada lake, admire the old traditional houses on the bank, visit the chavara bhavan,admire duck farming, stop by at triveni.Visit the ancient ambalapuzha temple, the church at champakkulam. the 11th century Buddha image or karumadikkuttan, have the time of your life serene, quiet and easy. Spend the nights at the houseboat.
Day 09 : ALLEPPEY – KOVALAM
Morning after breakfast drive towards Kovalam which is considered as the Paradise of the South. It is tiny beach which is one of the major tourist attractions. It is a picture perfect tropical beach. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and it is true to its name, one can get an endless sight of the coconut groves. On reaching Kovalam check in at the beach resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure
Day 10 : KOVALAM
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour and visit the important places like Padmanabhapuram Palace, Kaudiar Palace, Napier Museum, Sankhumugham Beach, Varkala Beach and others. Later on return back to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day 11 : KOVALAM - TRIVANDRUM
Morning after breakfast drive to Trivanduram airport to board your flight to the onwards destination.
